I have used the quote from President Ronald Reagan many times in my career of private investigations and pre-employment screening “Trust but Verify”. It looks like Walmart just learned an embarrassing lesson this week when their VP of Marketing was caught for lying on his CV/Resume. He claimed he graduated from a University but he did not.
We have come across this countless times in our pre-employment screening cases. It amazes me that a company would not spend a little bit of money to avoid an embarrassing and sometimes costly hiring mistake.
